Jack and Emma Minteer from Rose Hill Ranch in Naples, NY specialize in starting horses for all disciplines and working with problem horses. They are very involved with the Extreme Mustang Makeover and the Mustang Heritage Foundation and having been working hard to train American Mustangs and build awareness about these amazing horses. Jack actively competes in Reined Cow Horse events after a 30 year bull-riding career. Jack is a second generation trainer and uses his lifelong experience and the same principles taught to him by his Dad, Dave Minteer, to inform his work. Emma has been training horses and starting colts since she was 15 and is a regular top qualifier in the Extreme Mustang Makeover competitions. Together, the Minteers represent over 100 years of horse training experience.
The focus of this special two-day clinic is building trust and confidence. All horses and people, no matter what the discipline, will benefit from improved understanding and communication. Participants will work on problem solving and trust building through the use of stress-free obstacles. Exercises will include activities under saddle and on the ground. Auditors are welcome an encouraged!
This is a two day clinic. Participants sign up for a morning or afternoon slot for Saturday and Sunday. $250 for the weekend, $125 deposit to reserve a spot. $25/day auditing fee. To reserve a spot for the clinic a $125 deposit is required - check payable to "If Only Farm." Please mail to or drop off at the farm.

Longlining Clinics with Liza BourdonLonglining improves balance, rhythm, and strength. It is a beneficial tool used by top trainers including, Joe Forest of Horton’s Farm in Grantham, New Hampshire and Robert Mendoza, Grand Prix trainer and rider based out of Bannockburn Farm in Patricksburg, Indiana.
Participants will learn longlining with a horse familiar with the method. Liza will also help orient a horse new to the longlining process and once the horse is comfortable, Liza will then work with the client & their horse together. These clinics are held once or twice a year. Liza also teaches private Longlining and riding lessons at If Only Farm. Contact Liza Bourdon
