Celtic
In the summer of 2022 we had to say goodbye to one amazing lady. Celtic was a wonderful athlete and was as smart as a tack. As a true thoroughbred she had incredible athletic abilities and truly a heart of gold. Over the years she taught many, many riders of all ages and levels how to ride better, and patiently and safely showed riders what life on a thoroughbred is like. She liked to remind riders that it's best from ride from your seat and not from your hands! Celtic had three other careers before she came to the farm: she was a racehorse for a short time, then she was a three-day eventer, and then was selected to be a brood mare at Cornell Equine Park where she produced a handful of beautiful, fancy babies. As a semi-retired, senior citizen in her last couple of years, Celtic continued to teach some flat and low-level dressage riders with complete professionalism.
Celtic was a special talent and a beautiful mare who touched this farm very deeply. She will be missed forever.
